Cervical cancer remains the most common cancer among women in Uganda, with over 7,000 new cases reported annually A. Unfortunately, more than 80% of women are diagnosed at advanced stages, when treatment options are limited B. Early screening through Pap smears or VIA tests can detect pre-cancerous changes before they develop into cancer. Outreach programs in districts like Kamuli are vital, as many women lack access to hospital-based services. By bringing screening closer to communities, the Cervical Care Alliance helps women secure healthier futures.
